hp elitebook 8460p won't run while on battery

Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

i was working on my laptop with battey and it was with 62% ,i run windows experience  index which need AC plugged in ,after that i remove the AC and my laptop turn off and won't start with battery only while AC is connecting. i tried another battery nothing change.when starting windows no any errors in battery but the battery status is charging and the percentage not increasing .i tried removing battery drivers .try another OS ...hold power for 30 second ...but nothing changes ...i hope it's not board issue. any solustions?

You might want to take a look at this document: Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge

 

 

It suggests troubleshooting steps to determine if the problem is the battery, the power supply, or the system board.

You might find the answer to your battery/power issue as you work through the steps in that HP support article.

actually ac is ok and i have 2 batteries and working fine before this occurs... the main problem is the battery it's shown as charging and the percentage not increasing and the laptop wont work or start with battery only ...how to be sure it's board issue?

It seems like the isue is with the board for me. However please try to update to the latest BIOS and see if that makes a difference.

I update the bios ..changing windows ...nothing change ...the board can be fixed or only replaced?

Hello @mohrash,

The board should be replaced to fix the issue. Since the issue remains with 2 different working batteries.

 

If your PC is under warranty, Send it to HP and HP will fix it for you. If not under warranty, You will have to either take it to any HP authorised service centers or any local computer repair shops nearby and get it fixed.
