Hi,

You're welcome.

Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu.  Select the Bios menu ( f10 ).  Under the Security tab you should see the Power-on password option - select this and select to change it.  Enter the code from my previous post for the current password.  For the new password, leave the field blank and hit enter and do the same when asked to confirm.

well my mother as well give me her mini with a bios password. i tried to remove the cmos battery with no luck.

we have an error code
