Hello,

 

i have a laptop Hp pavilion dv5 model 1116em the laptop was installed windows7 and was working fine for months but suddenly it stopped working and stucks at logo and no further activity even after hours i rie as follows to boot but no success,

 

1, presses the ESC key the messesge displayed" Esc.....pause satrup". stays there as long as waited .no further activity.

 

2. pressed the F10 key messesge displayed " F10....Boot options"    no further acivity.stays there as long as waited

 

the similar messesges displayed according to key buttons and system stays there in the same statae and no further acitvity

 

i also remove the CMOS Batery and replaced it after 2 minutes even then no solution

so would someone point to the exact solution to this problem  that would be helpful

When you removed the CMOS battery did you also remove the main battery and then hold the start button for at least 15 seconds?

 

Test the memory modules

Remove both memory modules. Put one of them in the slot closest to the center of the notebook and try booting again. If no positive results remove that module and try the other one in the same position.
