hp probook 450 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi guys

I just want to know if the HP ProBook 450 G2 Intel Core i7 15.6 inch Notebook comes with a backlit keyboard.

If not, can I order and install a backlit keyboard in this model?

Hi,

As mentioned above, many of them around, hard to tell. Hope the motherborad has somewhere to connect. Please use the following manual to find the right part (Page #52, depending on your language):

    http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c04341970-1.pdf

How much: depending on where, the following shop has an example:

     http://www.amazon.com/Laptop-replacement-Backlit-keyboard-frame/dp/B00UR6EPJ4

The above manual shows: you can replace it yourself and again, you need to check the connectors on the mother borad before buying a keyboard.

Regards.

Hi,

There are many of them and they come with backlit keyboard as mentioned (on page #2):

Please check full specs before order.

Regards.

We have one and I thought the backlight might be faulty, however I see the backlit keyboard is an optional extra.
Since this laptop does not light up its keyboard, I assume the option was not installed.

Can I purchase the backlit HP keyboard as a loose part and install it?
If so, can you give me a ballpark figure of how much they are or point me in the direction of a retailer?

ps. Is there any way to check/confirm that I do not have the backlit spec installed?

Thank you

Ian
