hey , so here'sthe problems , my hp probook 4530s has to graphics card , an intel one ( intel hd graphics 3000) and an amd one , i don't know what is the name of the amd one because it's labeled " standard vga graphics driver"
i downloaded several drivers for the amd graphics from amd website and the hp website but none worked and the screen goes black in the middle of installation and sometimes it gets stuck on windows logo after restarting .. the intel hd graphics 3000 works though . it's supposed to support switchable graphics but i'm running on the intel one and i can't even install the drivers for the amd one and it also has a yellow triangle next to it in device manager(code 10), .. here's the hardware id of the amd video card
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6760&SUBSYS_167D103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6760&SUBSYS_167D103C
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6760&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6760&CC_0300
and here's the hardware id of the intel one :
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&SUBSYS_167D103C&REV_09
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&SUBSYS_167D103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&CC_0300
thanks 🙂

Hi:
The only graphics driver you can install is the AMD graphics driver from your notebook's support page which also includes the Intel graphics driver.
The problem is that many of the drivers are missing from the HP business PC support pages for hundreds of models.
I reported the issue two weeks ago to HP, who is aware of the matter.
Since I am not employed by nor do I represent HP, I don't know when they will restore the drivers to the support pages.

Hi:
Yes you only install the AMD graphics adapter because that is a customized driver that also has the Intel graphics drivers included with the AMD graphics.
I asked again yesterday what the devil is going on with the support pages, and was informed that it is going to take them a while to sort the problem out. They are backlogged or something.
Since I enjoy helping forum members find the drivers they need for their HP business PC's, my hands are quite tied now because I can't find the drivers they need to get their equipment working right.
There are some business PC pages with hardly any drivers listed. No audio, graphics, network, etc.
Never install that standalone Intel graphics driver or it fouls up the whole graphics setup.
You are going to have to wait until HP gets around to restoring that AMD graphics driver to the support page.

hey paul, thanks for your response .
i have rcently upgraded to windows 8.1 and downloaded the amd graphics driver from the official support page from this link :
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5060881&swItemId=ob_125341_1&swEnvOid=415...
and right after installing windows 8.1 i installed the amd driver without the intel graphics driver .
the installation was supposedly succsessful but when i restarted the resolution was still bad as if i never installed it .
so i went to the device manager and the amd graphics card was labeled " amd radeon hd 7470m' but it had this yellow triangle next to it, and one thing not to forget is that this yellow triangle always appears next to it even after a fresh windows install with no drivers installed but the intel graphics doesn't have that problem, the amd driver i downloaded form the official website was supposed to have both the amd and intel drivers but the intel graphics was labeled " standard vga graphics driver " after installing as if it was never installed, so it seems that the intel graphics doesn't work unless i install the stand alone intel driver while the amd one never works.
i'm starting to believe this is a hardware problem rather than a software one.
so does this mean the amd grahics card itself is faulty?
thanks.

You're very welcome.
That driver should have worked.
See if this works...
Go to the device manager and click on the problem AMD graphics adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp63715.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.
Then reboot the PC.
If that doesn't work, unfortunately I wouldn't know what the issue could be.
I could be possble under those circumstances that the AMD GPU is on its way out.
