I am looking at upgrading my existing 4G RAM to 8G in my HP G61-110SA Notebook. Is this possible. I am running Windows 8.

Thanks for your response

According to the specs for your HP G61-110SA Notebook Computer, this model supports up to 8GB of DDR2 SODIMM RAM. You will need to install 2 x 4GB RAM modules to achieve the 8GB maximum.

Hi,

Your system supports up to 8 GB DDR2 memory.

There are 2 slots in memory compartment of your laptop.

The memory capacity of the computer can be upgraded by adding a memory module to the vacant expansion memory module slot or by upgrading the existing memory module in the primary memory module slot.

To use a dual-channel configuration when adding a second memory module, be sure that both memory modules are the same size. So, add one more 4GB RAM that is identical in configuration(such as DDR2, frequency) to the one you already have, thats all.

You may go through this manual for getting help for replacement.

Hope this helps.

thanks,

Thank you for your response with the solution. With only 2 slots available 4G for each is the solution. Thanks again
