my computer sounds like chipmunks are talking how do I slow down the speed to it's normal sound. it just happened about a week ago need to hear things at normal speed. Please help me with this issue. I am a shut in and all I have to connect to the outside world is through my computer. My son is a music producer and I can't hear his music when he sends it to me because of the sound quality.

Thank you for your kindness

Hello nanas_love,

There are two common fixes on the net reported to solve this phenomenon.

1. Reinstall the sound card or drivers. Sometimes drivers can get become corrupted.

How to reinstall the sound card from Device manager.

Also, If you post what your computer model is, I can point you to driver updates if they are available.

2. Your audio software has become skewed and is in karaoke mode. (If this is changed, it will change the pitch of the audio and sound like chipmunks).

Check you softare for karaoke mode.

Give it a try and let me know if I can help further.
