I am having the same issue with the following network contoller:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&CC_0280

The installer program that I tried stopped half way through the installation process and did not install anything.

I also have 2 base system devices that are showing in the device manager:

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167C103C
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880

and

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103C
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_0880

and one unknown device:

USB\VID_138A&PID_003C&REV_0086
USB\VID_138A&PID_003C

Your help would be appreciated!!

Hello. I tried installing the unlisted drivers in my computer. I am unable to find a driver for network controller. I also tried installing Broadcom drivers but I was unsuccessful.

Please note that I did not have wireless driver listed in my device manager.

Because of this I am unable to connect it to internet.

Also please tell me what is the difference between broadcom or atheros drivers.

Can you help me??

Hi:

Please go to the device manager and there should be a device listed under the Other Devices category named Network Controller.

Click on that and then post the hardware ID for the device.

If you do not know where to find that information, please use the guide at the link below.

http://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

The difference between the wireless drivers is they support different manufacturers wireless chips. One driver from one model wireless card will not work for the other.

Hi:

The hardware ID you posted of PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0023&SUBSYS_3071168C&REV_01 is an add on network card and I don't know the maker or model number unless you do.

The hardware ID decodes to the device having an Atheros AR5008 wireless chip, so you can try a generic Atheros wireless driver for the 5008 chip at the link below.

Scroll toward the bottom of the first block of adapters listed and click on that green Click for Download square centered at the bottom of the block.  Then it will take a few seconds to begin the file download as it searches for the file.

http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=26&system=6

If the drivers from that site don't work for some reason, you are going to have to remove the card and get whatever info you can from it, so I can find the drivers for it.

I think from what I have found by googling the ID, that it seems to be a TP-Link wireless N adapter, but there are many models on the TP-Link support site.
