Hi Paul,
I know this is not a HP issue, but I am hopeless I cannot find any solution in internet.
Here's the scenario.
My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate and I have a TP-link router(300Mbps Wireless N Router - TL-WR841N)
I can't connect in my Internet between router to desktop, but the wireless is ok.
then when I was trying to install the driver of the router there is a prompt error that says ' Limited or no connectivity, please ensure that you have enabled DHCP server'
and I notice also that there is a in yellow triangle with exlamation point in the icon of the internet below in the right side of the taskbar.
I tried accessing the website of tp-link in desktop 192.168.0.1 but i can't connect, since I can access my internet wireless connection, I change the DHCP to enable. and tried to install again the driver but its the same, error I encounter. but when I tried to put my internet in my desktop, I can connect in my Internet.
Can you please help me,. Thanks

Hi, Jerry:
Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with the information you have provided to me.
I do not know how to troubleshoot wireless connection issues if the network drivers are installed.
Hi, RedlandBlue:
You are not installing the right driver for your wireless card. You need to install the Intel Pro driver for Vista.
Use the second file listed.
Once you are able to connect to the internet, click on the multimedia audio controller in the Device Manager and click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the automatic search and Windows Update should download the right audio driver. It may take a few minutes, so just leave it be.
The other driver you need is the card reader driver. Use the Vista one from the nc6400. The one on your PC's support and driver page will install the card reader, but it won't work. The one from the nc6400 is a newer version and the card reader will work with W7 and that driver.

Sorry I am not able to install the wireless driver. Setup closes right after it opens. Should have mentioned it before, but I have installed windows 7 home basic service pack 1. Maybe that helps. And also the other driver you gave me worked correctly.
Thank you

Hi:
I don't think the driver will install automatically or manually perhaps.
This time download the zip file driver (first file listed) on the Intel link I posted above.
Use the unzip tool in Windows 7 to unzip the files you downloaded into a folder and remember the name and location of the folder (normally in the downloads folder of your user name).
Once you have done that, go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse My Computer for Driver Software method and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
I am pretty sure that will work for you because I know the card will work on W7 even though there is no support for it.

You're very welcome.
It has been years since I had that card but I knew I did something to make it work just fine.
One other thing...
How is the graphics?
Can you change the screen resolution and is your graphics acceleration enabled?
You can check the graphics acceleration thing by playing one of the windows games.
If you don't have the right graphics driver installed you will get a graphics acceleration is not enabled error.
If not, I have a trick up my sleeve for you to try.

I dont think my graphics are enabled. There is yellow mark next to my video controller driver as well. I tried using the automatic update but windows couldnt find any drivers for it. I am able to watch a video and listen to music though. I also cant seem to get my usb to work either. 😞

That is because the graphics adapter in your notebook can't run Vista or W7 completely correct.
That is why MS did not provide any drivers for it because it will not support Aero.
But I found a driver that should get your graphics working at least as well as it did on XP but you will not have Aero
There is also a trick to installing the driver.
Download and run this graphics driver. You will probably get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows you get.
Now, go to the device manager and click on your problem display adapter needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software (just like you did for the network card) and this time browse to C:\SWSetup\sp34749.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Upon reboot, you should have decent graphics.
Before you install the graphics driver, see if installing the chipset driver wakes up those usb ports.
