Pavilion DV7 5840370-001
Hard drive crashed so I had to re-install Windows 7 and now I dont have any network drivers so I can't connect to the network. Need the location to download the correct network drivers. Reinstalled with the HP Windows CD.

Hi:
That is not the full model # of your dv7.
Please use this guide to find the product #/model # for your dv7.

Hi,
What is the model/product of your machine ? Because "HP 5840370-001 - did not match any documents." means no HP part with that code. Please use the following information to find out the model/product of your laptop and post back.

YEP - That has been a big problem. I have looked all over the LAPTOP and I can't find anything that breaks down what model the LAPTOP is.
My LAPTOP has sticker on the back with the Windows Product KEY and:

Tried this locaiton but still did not help.
HP Pavilion dv7-6113cl is the Model
Would think if you use HP's CD to restore your system it would have the drivers. Due to not having a network I can't get on to update the system. IS there a better site to get the correct network adapters so I can get my network devices configured ?.

Hi:
Yes that is the correct model based on what you posted.
This would be the wired network driver you need:
This would be the wireless network driver you need according to the parts list for your model.
Yes, you need the amd chipset driver which you should install first and reboot before installing the above drivers.
You want the first file listed on the webpage.

Got all three drivers, did the chipset one first and the reboot. After doing the other two adaters it still shows no driver in the Device Manager. SO still can't get on the Network. Going to try and just reinstall Windows again and hope that resolves it. I have the HP recover CD but that is what I used to reinstall Windows 7.

If you still get the same problem after reinstalling W7, please post the hardware IDs for the devices needing drivers.
The parts list could be wrong and you could have a different wlan card in there than what the parts list showed.
Here is how to find the hardware ID for the wireless card and then you can post the hardware ID's for any other driver you can't find the same way...
In the device manager, find the Other Devices category, and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.
