Elitebook 840 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I just completed a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional on my HP Elitebook 840. After installation, I have a problem in Device Manager for something called "PCI Simple Communications Controller". Windows 10 is unable to find a compatible driver. I have tried looking for the driver in this product's support page, but cannot find what driver this is referring to. There is no driver called "PCI Simple Communications Controller". What driver is needed to resolve this problem?

Thanks

Hi:

This should be the driver you need for that device...

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

sp79059.exe (hp.com)

I am surprised that W10 didn't install that device automatically.
