I need drivers for compaq presario v3000 wireless lan and sound for windowxp sp2. The one mentioned on hp support site are not working.

Hi, Tarun:

 

Installing the audio driver for your notebook is tricky.

 

Before you install the actual audio driver, you MUST first install the MS UAA driver.

 

So, you have to uninstall any audio driver which you may have previously installed, reboot and then install this driver.

 

It is possible that you have muddied up the installation by trying several audio drivers and you may be better off reinstalling XP and making sure you install the Chipset driver first, then the video driver, then the MSUAA driver, then the audio driver and rebooting after each instance of the above installations

Then you install the audio driver. This is the correct driver based on the hardware ID you posted.

I am providing the link to the latest wireless driver for your card as the one from the v3000 page is ancient.  :generic:

You should be using the drivers from this model's page since you have Intel hardware.

Hi:

 

Please post the hardware ID's for the audio and wireless adapter.

 

To find that info, click on them in the device manager and then click on the Details tab.
