My sister has an HP Envy x2 11-g010nr with windows 8.1. She has been unable to connect to the Internet for the last 2-3 weeks. Her computer shows she is connected but when she tries to use Google chrome or any other browser it comes up with that she is not connected to the Internet. Running a diagnostic brings up the messages that 1) there is a problem with the driver for the Wi-Fi adapter and 2) the Bluetooth Network Connection driver also has a problem.
I have connected her to the modem with a USB but same message comes up. She was trying to install a new anti-virus program when she realized her problem and that she could not uninstall AVG antivirus.
We can not get her online at all and she has not recreated and restore points to use.

Hi suzy13,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using the forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand you are unable to connect to the Internet wirelessly.
When you looked in Device Manager there is a problem with the Wireless driver and the Bluetooth.
You can run the HP Support Assistant to aid with locating drivers and resolving issues.
Here is a link to the HP ENVY x2 11-g010nr Drivers page for your convenience
You would need to connect an Ethernet cable not a USB to a modem for Internet access.
Here is a link to Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 😎
You can do a recovery back to factory if you are unable to resolve the issue. Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 😎.
During the recovery process you will have an option to backup your personal data to prevent loss. If you have not done one recently, I suggest you do one now.
Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 😎
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. Her computer does not a ethernet slot, only 2 USBs, power slot, and HDMI. Any ideas? Can I hook her Envy up to my laptop and acess the internet tht way? Her computer I think is a notebook for she does not have a CD/DVD player either.

I ran the HP Support Assistant and the Network Check shows 2 root causes:
- IP not bound (109) Windows did not automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter Bluetooth Device
- IP not bound (109) Windows did not automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter - Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter
I called the phone number given and was told I would have to pay to fix the problem that is soooooo wrong. Please help get her computer running online again.

does Bluetooth and Wifi drivers shows up in Device Manager??
if Yes then just uninstall both of them.
firstly bluetooth and then Wifi.
"Remember Not to check the check Box for Deleting driver"
then simply Right click on My Computer (on top) in device manager, and Scan for Hardware Changes.
that will automatically install missing drivers.
it might work for you!!

Good Morninn Suzy13,
Thank you for the update.
I would uninstall the driver and deleting the driver and then reinstalling it.
Here is a link to the current driver recommended for Windows 8.1 and this notebook. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Software and Driver.
By deleting the driver it will reset the TCP/IP stack also.
During my research I read that the driver may be to high for the card to read. With that in mind here is a lower version of the driver if the recommended one is not working that you can try. sp61895.exe
If these efforts have not resolved the issues, I suggest you do recovery back to factory.

During the recovery process, it will present you with the opportunity to backup your personal files to prevent data loss. If one has not been done recently, I suggest you do one now.
