HP Pavilion AB219TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Okay I had some problems with my OS and want to restore it to factory settings.
I have HP Recovery DVD's intact.
Whenever I boot with my DVD, it shows "The selected boot device failed. Press enter to continue".
I tried switching to legacy mode but it didn't help.
I also tried restoring BIOS to default.
Please help, I'm in disaster

Hi,

Try the steps listed in the below link

http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/8499306/model/8818901/document...

As this could be hard disk drive failure as well.

Full scan passed..I don't assume it's a hard drive fault...
Any other way? I got 3 recovery DVD's plus 1 driver disc.
Any way I can execute the HP Recovery wizard?

Hi,

Disconnect the Hard disk drive and then reconnect, go to BIOS by tapping F10. Check if the Hard disk drive is detected or not. If the HDD is detected, restart the unit by tapping ESC key. Select the Boot option as CD ROM group and Insert the recovery disk, Then you can reinstall the Operating system back on the unit and it will set the unit to factory defaults. ( You will loose all data saved on the unit once recovery is performed.)
