Product: g72-b60us
Operating System: Linux

trying to dual boot win 7 and RHEL 6.6 64 bit, DVD works fine, installed onto a desktop, select install with basic drivers,  loads /sbin.... and then " detecting hardware waiting for hardware to initialize" occurs twice and system freezes. Checked bios versions and this was fine. Any suggestions?

in addition to original, the dvd was used to install on another computer as a stand alone os, works fine. the messaging as

the install process is proceeding, after selecting install with basic video driver, the computer freezes at the second detecting hardware waiting for hardware to initialize. I lucked out one time when at approximately this point I used ctrl-c and went to a basic install but backed out of testing disk and since have not been able to get back to that point.
