Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Hello, for the past year I red vertical lines have been appearing in my screen, sometimes they dissapear if I move the monitor, but now they appear more frequently.
What should I do?

Hi there:
Looks like an issue with connection to display cable or display hardwares.
Do a hard reset and check again: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768
Is the vertical line present while you enter BIOS - tap away ESC or f10 as soon as you power on and check.
What about when connected to external display?
