You should first ensure that your cooling system is free of dust and debris as per this document.

Also, what is your product number?  This document can show you where it is located.

Please run the diagnostic for your hard drive and post the result.  This document have instructions.

When I ran HDD test it got to 40% then said error reading  is that because I have put a different data HDD in and it has not been installed yet

Hello Andy.

Are you saying that you've installed a second HDD and the test fails at 40%?  I suggest you remove the 2nd HDD and run the test again.  Make sure to post the result.
