Hello ErraticSeagu11. I understand you've received both the 3F0 and 303 errors during boot.
These errors refer to the hard drive of the notebook. It most likely means you'll need to replace the hard drive. I suggest you try running the built in hard drive diagnostic to confirm the issue by following these instructions.
If the notebook is in warranty I suggest you contact HP Support directly at 1-800-474-6836 if you're in the US/Canada. If you're in another part of the world you'll need to visit HP Support Worldwide to get your region's contact information.
If you're not in warranty you could replace the drive yourself. To provide you with the proper instructions I'll need your product number. This document can show you how to locate the product number.
I'll keep an eye out for your response. Have a lovely day!
Please click the white star under my name to give me Kudos as a way to say "Thanks!"
Click the "Accept as Solution" button if I resolve your issue.

Hello anomichie. I understand you've gotten a SMART error.
This error means that your hard drive is having problems. I suggest you run the hard drive diagnostic to confirm this. This document has instructions for performing the test. Make sure to post the result.
If your hard drive fails the test you'll need to have it replaced. If your notebook is in warranty you should contact HP to have it repaired. The number for US/Canadian customers is 1-800-474-6836. If you're in another part of the world you'll need to visit HP Support Worldwide to get your region's contact information.
If the notebook isn't in warranty you could repair the notebook yourself. I can provide you with helpful information if you provide me with the product number. This document can show you where the product number is located.
Have a great day!
