system disabled unlock code
04-01-2017 04:39 PM

Well, this seems to be a very popular topic, let's join the party!
My friend has a HP Pavilion TS 15, product number E8P99EA#ABH.
Trying to troubleshoot it, I encounter a BIOS password.
The System Disabled code is 56341196.
Which password can I try?
I hope anyone can help, thanks in advance!

Thank you for the very quick response!
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work.
Perhaps it helps if I give all the details?
System Information (from boot menu):
Notebook Model : HP Pavilion TS 15 Notebook PC
Product Number : E8P99EA#ABH
Serial Number : <CENSORED>
Born On Date : 11/24/2013
System Board ID : 2170
Product configuration ID : 0881100000305E00000620100
System Board CT Number : PDVVE008J5G8RZ
BIOS Version : F.19
Processor Type : AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics
Processor Speed : 2000 MHz
Total Memory : 8 GB
Primary Battery SN : <CENSORED> 09/03/2013
WLAN FCC ID : PPD-AR5B125
Bottom of laptop:
Model: 15-n058ed
Product: E8P99EA#ABH
and a Windows 8 logo (but it's upgraded to 10)
What I do is powerup, press Esc, F10.
"Enter administrator password", I enter your code 49029118, it says "Invalid password" (3 times).
I tried with numpad and keys above the letters.
Then it says "System disabled", below that the exact formatting of the code is:
[i 56341196]
And then the system is frozen on that screen (there is no "OK" button, Esc or Ctrl-Alt-Del don't work).
The power button does power down. Powering up again the system boots fine to Windows (which is a broken install).
So to be clear the only problem is getting into BIOS setup.
Also I can't see where else I can enter the unlock code, apart from using it as administrator password, is that correct?

Ok, that's too bad, but still thanks for your attention!
FWIW I discovered this topic:

I barely know Spanish, but it seems there are several users getting unlock codes for [i 12345678] formatted codes, so if I can't get it here I'll google-translate myself to there I guess?
Does anyone else here have a password to try?
