The scroll option on my touchpad just up and disappeared yesterday.  I went to the control panel to adjust it and it and could not find either a mouse option or touchpad option with scrolling.  Do I need to install new drivers?  I have an hp pavilion dv4 with windows 7.  Thanks

Hi,

Ok, try downloading and install the ALPS driver on the link below.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45035.exe

After the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi,

Can you post back with the following.

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of your dv4 series notebook ( from the service tag underneath your notebook ) - see Here for a further explanation.

2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).
