I guess I'm the third member to report negatively .

a) The OEM windows iso download is redirecting me to the manufacurer which is hp.

b) The manufacturer drivers page doesn't show "recovery media " software , means "not supported" .

c) Available ISO on internet are for OEM windows , not the pre installed OS on my hp notebook . So , it doesn't accept my windows product number . THIS TAKES ME BACK TO POINT (a).

d) This is an endless loop .

CONCLUSION:-

1. IMPOSSIBLE TO RECOMMEND HP NOTEBOOKS.

2. IMPOSSIBLE TO RECOMMENT ANY PREINSTALLED OS . AS IT'S NOT SUPPORTED BY MICROSOFT.

@AKwasFY

Sorry, but HP does not stock Recovery Media for many of the older Win7-era PCs anymore.  They generally stock such media for only three years, and my guess is that your PC is older than that.

You were already provided a link to a third-party site that tends to keep the media in stock longer.

If they do not have it, you can also try this one:  http://www.restoredisks.com/

Before using the media, read through this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110

Good Luck

Hi, @AKwasFY :

1.  What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

2.  What country did you purchase the notebook in?

I have given that heidoc website to many forum members and several have informed me that the files worked fine with their OEM product keys.

Otherwise, I wouldn't be wasting my time posting useless information,

You need to select the right file...COEM and for the country you live in.

And it depends exactly where you live.  A forum member from Norway told me that he downloaded the W7 ISO N edition and it didn't work with his product key.

I asked him if Norway was a member of the European Union.  He replied no, but Norwegians get the same benefits as EU countries.

I told him that doesn't matter.  He needed the W7 COEM (non-N) edition, Norwegian language, and he installed that and it worked fine with his product key.
