I just purchase a laptop myself from Walmart and the webcam is not coming on what's up with that. I dont live in the United States to return it back. Any suggestions to this dilemma?

i had the same pc it does not have a web cam bulit in it looks like it does but the black plastic peace in the middle of your screen is not a web cam

ok i opened device manager and i seen nuthing that said imaging devices or  anything about a webcam.

now what?

apparently the cq56 does NOT have a built in webcam.  My husband has the cq 56 that said it had a webcam (which it does not) and I just bought the cq57 and it DOES have a webcam

hi 🙂 i've compaq 510. When i try to boot it's showing that " NEED DLL' S FOR KERNEL". I set the boot preference to optica disc but still my laptop is not booting from anything else:) please help me in this

There is no internal webcam, you have the software only, you must buy external webcam connect to your usb.

Right ...so I'm NOT telling anyone to do what i did... but...I took my pocket knife to the spot just above the screen...in the center...It's a little black rectangle...dude it's just a thick plastic sticker that cover's up an empty hole...

my compaq apparently doesn't have a webcam...SOme Have webcams...others don't... keep reading lots of posts to find out if your's does...
