Request of recent version of Recovery CD for envy15-j101TX

Dear custom service manager of Hewlett-Packard
Hello. It is pleasure to contact HP custom service virtually. My name is Pan-gon Kim and I am using HP laptop computer (model name: envy15-j101TX, serial number: 5CG4100SW0, OS: Window8.1k).

Recently, I had problem about HP laptop computer (There were a Bluetooth driver error and hidden HDD partition was shown, dust in cooler fan part) so visited HP custom service center in South Korea. Engineer checked the laptop computer and he installed new version of “Recovery software” in my computer to fix problem. Those problems were fixed but new problem was appeared, not working HP SimplePass. In second visit of HP custom service center, engineer installed recent version of recovery s/w again and then, SimplePass worked again. However, new problem was shown again, “There is problem during receiving proper update list. If you want continue, re-open window update (Error code: 80248007)”. And when I pushed the “Window update” button to update, the update list was shown after 5 hours! And when I pushed the “Download” button, there was no change in download file size and percentage and after 1 hour, something was installed.

Opinion of Korea HP engineer was that he need new and recent version of recovery CD for envy15-j101TX to repair this problem. And they don’t have one, yet. I requested this issue several times to HP Korea custom service center but there has been no reply (Manager In-ho Jeon in HP Korea custom service center). So, I am very depressed from this response of HP Korea and my laptop computer is still not working.

So my request is this. Could you provide me with recent and working Recovery CD for envy15-j101TX, not patch file? If there is any policy problem to distribute recovery CD to customer directly, you can send it HP Korea engineer (Jang, Kyung-ho, Yongsan-gu AS center). Or could you provide the initial version of Recovery CD for envy15-j101TX to return PC to initial status? The recovery CD should be Korean version. My e-mail address is neopark001@gmail.com.
It would be most appreciate if you HP can send Recovery CD to me or HP engineer ASAP.
With best regards,
Pan-gon Kim

Hi,

This is not the official HP technical support

This is a peer-to-peer consumer support forum
All members helping others here are end users like you

HP maintains no official presence here

There is no recent version of recovery media. Only one version is there.

For the error message you're recieving while performing update, could you try:

Reset of Windows update components using this tutorial: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/24742-reset-windows-update-windows-10-a.html

Use Windows update troubleshooter: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/instantanswers/512a5183-ffab-40c5-8a68-021e32467565/windows-upda...

And at least for the error, can use this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors

Please disable all antivirus, security solutions temporarily before trying the update again from control panel

Regards

Visruth
