Product: windows xp professional hp

my windows xp professional laptop hp version is currently resetting itself  once this is complete  can i use a new password to set up a new user account? it already had windows 10 installed on it

What model is this? Are you restoring XP to a computer that was XP from the factory or trying to roll a more current system back to XP? And what do you mean by resetting? Are you restoring to factory from an XP recovery disk?
