Greetings,
I am using the newsletter info to make an internal tech tips for our company techs. The 6/8 error has hit us on a few occasions. I was reading the steps and in step 3 it said this:
- Swap the MPCA drive with the formatter drive.
- Perform an Erase/Unlock procedure using the Preboot menu.
- Reload the FutureSmart Bundle firmware version 4.10.0.1, and then check if the printer boots to the "Ready" state.
- If the printer does not boot to the "Ready" state, see the next step.
Does this mean to leave the MPCA drive in the formatter or should they be swapped back to original placement? I know on my own 876 when this happened, there were two different brands of drives so I didn't know if it were possible to leave in the switched positions.
Note it did NOT work in my unit as likely one of my drives was bad, so I got two new drives to save time to keep it from getting on my nerves. .
Thanks and hope all are staying safe!

Thanks to Mitch for the call and explaining it to me! No, you do not have to switch them back. My tech went on site and got it up and running. E876 Mine failed because my unit contained two different hard drives. One of which was toast. Again, THANKS MITCHELL!
