Has any one seen scans that get magically flipped 180°??

Content Orientation = Auto detect

Original size = Any Size

Customer scans a few pages and intermittently they flip? Any one seen this?

Hi J2Blueprint,

Sometimes it works better to select either portrait or landscape as the default rather than Auto detect. However, I recommend you call the support team so we can troubleshoot this issue for you. We would like the following information:

Firmware version, does it happen with both copy and scan, and does the original include both portrait and landscape?

Thanks.

I grow tired of the suggestion to "manually select" portrait or landscape. If you are going to offer an automatic feature, make it work. Copier companies have offered auto-detect for years, I am not sure why HP has so many problem with it. We have seen issues with 90 degree rotation but not 180. Then again, most users probably would not notice unless you had a multipage docuement and only one was upside down.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.
