Paper that is not "supported".

Hello,

If anyone has thoughts on this, please chime in.  We have a client ordering 10+ E876 and suddenly asked the question below. The sales does not hinge on this, but will decide if they lose the giant Ricoh the use for this job.

The A3 trays look like they will "hold" 12x18 paper.  I personally do not have any 12x18 paper to test on my unit in the office.   with the paper guides full extended in both directions. 

BUT:  Will the paper actually fit through the feed assemblies?  Will it print a full 11x17 image?

Anyone ever try this?

I put 12x18 paper in the cassette and the machine recognized it as 12x18.

I ran a copy of a 11x17 original and it did copy every bit of it and the machine did not jam or complain.

Thanks!  Seriously, thanks a lot!  I cannot believe in our building we didn't have a single piece of 12x18 or 13x19 (I would have cut down the 13x19 in a paper cutter).  Was going to have to hit Office Depot or Max on a hunt, but I think they only have it special order.

I also printed a large file that is 55 inches by 34 inches to 12x18 and it filled the page.

Very Cool!  I talked to the sales manager closing this deal and if this works it will add an extra E87660Z onto the order and turn the Ricoh into a nice park bench.  Thanks!
