I replaced my Black ink cartridge the other day and I've now printed a PDF and an Excel document where the black text prints in white.  I have been unable to locate any driver settings that would be causing this and this was never a problem in the past.  I've aligned and cleaned the cartridges and there are no errors showing on the printer or within HP Smart.

Bumping to the top of the thread.  This should really be a basic question I shouldn't have to pay for support for.  C'mon HP.  If you want people to continue to purchase your products, you really need to figure out your long term support model.  It's been 24 hours with no reply on a basic question that I have no other way to troubleshoot than just wait?

Hi @DeloskyGA,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing print quality issues.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
