Hello to all

1. HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E87660 (p.n.X3A92A)

2. Firmware 5.3.0.1 - counter 220000

We have a problem with this machine.

On the test print, we see skew stripes on the test print.

We replace all Drum Unit, ITB, transfer T2  and fuser, and clean machine. These actions did not resolve the problem.

I think the problem is with LSU. Paper feed is LEF.

Maybe, has anyone come across this problem?

Can you print a print quality page from the printers menu?  Scan and post here.

Your scanned images are confusing, it's hard to see does it happening on only one half of the page and what colours are affected.

It looks like K and M are free from defects only C and Y have stripes ?

Yes on PQ - K and M without defect.

It could be LSU or HVPS.

I am not familiar with the construction of LSU on that printer model, but is it possible to open a LSU and swap laser and electronics C that has a defect with M without defect. That will confirm that LSU is the problem.

Thanks for the information.

But LSU can't be disassembled. It's the whole unit. I  know, that this problem may be also assigned with HVPS.  But i can't order two parts

Isolate the contact on the C drum, which will make the printer print the full page in C.

Cover the C laser to prevent laser exposure to the drum. print a page, if the printed page is in full C without stripes the HVPS is probably OK then replace the LSU, if the full C page has stripes it's not the LSU.

I am out of ideas.
