HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw

Hi my printer keeps printing black horizontal lines across prints. I have tried running cleaning pages which come out clean. I haven’t recently replaced the black ink it’s been working fine for ages and still has lots left. Occasionally it will print a page fine without the lines. Please help! Thank you

Smells like a black toner cartridge. Is it the original cartridge or a refilled?

Hey there! If you're seeing black lines on your printed pages, it's likely because your wireless laserjet printer's imaging drum is low. Don't worry - it's a common issue that can be easily fixed by purchasing a new imaging drum. Simply replace your old drum with the new one, and you should be good to go! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi thanks for your suggestion. I am trying to source an imaging drum for the printer online but not having any luck as yet. Maybe the printer is too old to find spares?

The imaging drum is a part of the toner cartridge, and can't be replaced individually, if you replace the toner cartridge you have replaced the imaging drum too.

Ohhhh! I see thank you so much. Will buy one and see. A bit annoying as was lots left but it wasn’t an original HP so will buy an authentic one and hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for your time
