M454nw LaserJet Pro
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi community, please help with the colour print quality problem. I think the poor quality photos result from the setting issue. It seems like a common issue across many HP printers given the posts online.

Print Quality options unavailable

There is no print quality option to choose from but "normal" only. Subsequently, colour printing quality is sub-par with light and faded colour, and with low resolution and blurred object edges.

Printer

This is a brand new M454nw LaserJet Pro, and it is capable of printing good photos. I know this by looking at the demo page it printed (printer menu: Printer Maintenance - Print Quality Tools - Print a Demo Page). The colour is deep, and the details are clear and crisp, which is quite a step up compared to what I printed with "normal" quality setting.

OS and Driver

I am using Windows 10. I have tried it with two PCs, and the same problem exists. I installed the full feature driver as well as HP Smart, which did not help. Also, I tried the HP solution online by root uninstalling and reinstalling the latest driver. I have gone through all the setting available in windows "printing preferences" and in HP Smart. The problem is not solved.

Many thanks in advance!
