Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer will only print yellow ink. The cartridge levels are good for both the color and blank ink, and I have cleaned the print heads multiple times. I have also reinstalled the cartridges to ensure they were placed correctly. I have printed two different kinds of test pages, and both times only the yellow ink is present on the page. 

 

I am fine if I have to purchase new cartridges, but don't want to do so if my printer is broken and won't work even with new cartridges.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

At this point it's either a cartridge or a printer issue.

 

Do try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

 

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
