Actually, just google 'HP firmware downgrade'.  There's plenty of websites that offer a downgrade process.  Be safe, run virus/malware scans on anything downloaded. Good luck.

Good to hear that worked for you Phils

Which printer do you have?

Sadly, it doesn't work for me.

I have googled 'HP Firmware downgrade' and spent hours looking for anything to roll back the firmware on my

Office Jet Pro 8024

So far, nothing works.  HP are ignoring this

I have the 6975 all-in-one, which is supported by these websites.  I do see that your printer is not, too bad! This has been going on for quite some time now, so I kinda doubt the HP is going to do anything about it, which is why I downgraded by sw/fw. Good luck.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm still waiting on a reply from HP

I had to change my blocked cartridges, They were identified as US not EU cartridges so genuine parts but regional coding on the cartridges.

I have the same problem and am absolutely livid. We own 5 HP products including 3 laptops. Never again buying HP. They've effectively installed ransomware onto my printer and will only allow me to use it if i carry on paying them money.  This is no way to behave. You underhanded contemptible w@nkers
