HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my 8025e in January 2024.  It gets paper jams so often, I can hardly get through a print job without it jamming.  I've tried everything, looking for paper jams inside, refilling the paper tray, reinserting it - it never ends.  It will feed through several pages of blank paper and then says it has a paper jam (which tells me there IS not a jom - if it can pull paper from the tray and feed it through the printer, there isn't a paper jam).  Periodically it will say the paper tray is open, but it isn't.   I'm ready to toss this thing in the garbage!  Just trying to print a 10 page document, I have wasted nearly an entire pack of paper with all if it's weird shooting out blank sheets.   I don't know what else to try to get it to actually complete a print job.  Any ideas?  In addition to the usual paper jam troubleshooting, I have turned it off and back on , and I've unplugged it and plugged it back in.  Ever see "Office Space"?  I'm about to go ganster on this piece of junk...

I want to replace it with something that has different paper feed system and was thinking of the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One because it's paper feed mechanism is different than the 8025e.  What is your opinion on the 651?  I have an Instant Ink account with the 8025e, would that transfer over to the 651 even thought that oe uses the tanks instead of the cartridges?

Hi @lynf789,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Paper Quality and Specifications: Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper that matches the printer's specifications. Avoid using damaged, curled, or irregular paper.

Inspect and Clean Rollers: Dust or debris on the paper rollers can lead to paper jams. Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the rollers.

Adjust Paper Tray Settings: Make sure the paper guides in the tray are snug against the paper without bending it. The paper should be flat and aligned within the tray.

Remove Stuck Paper: Even if a paper jam message appears, carefully inspect the printer to ensure there are no small pieces of paper stuck inside the machine.

Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware updates, as these often address common issues and improve performance.

Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes clear minor glitches.

Perform a Hard Reset: As a last resort, perform a hard reset on the printer. This typically involves restoring the printer to its factory settings.

I hope this helps.
