I haven't used ADF for a long time. All of a sudden the printer gives me an error on it's screen that say ADF has a paper jamb.

I have thoroughly opened up ADF access lid and examined and not paper or shreds of paper. I have gone through the unplugging cord from printer while on, waiting and then plugging it back in after a minute. Instructions tell you to turn it back on. Well as soon as I plug it back in it comes back on without having to touch on/off button. I have even waited about 5 minutes to let any latent voltage settle out before I plug it back in. This "fix" doesn't do anything. I still keep getting the same error messege about a paper jamb in the ADF.  I can still print though, just not scan. Anybody have any idea's to help with this??

Hi @bda54

If you have already performed the steps from the document ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
