While removing paper jam, the calibration ribbon broke. The loop at one end of the ribbon tore and now the ribbon is not able to be mounted at that end. Is there a part number for a replacement part? I can't find it online yet.

Awesome! Thank you very much. I'm terribly bad at disassembly/reassembly and this part seems relatively straightforward from the outside. So I'll stay optimistic that I can replace it myself without written instructions. But I'll keep looking for assistance out there, be it youtube or this forum. Thanks again. I already found the part for $10 on Amazon, eBay and a dozen other vendors.

The 'calibration ribbon' (likely part of the printer’s paper feed mechanism or scanner assembly) requires the exact printer model to identify the correct part number. Follow these steps:

  1. Locate your printer model (check labels on the device or printer settings).

  2. Search for "HP calibration ribbon replacement" or "paper feed belt/assembly" on:

    • HP Parts Store

    • Third-party sites like eBay or Amazon (use keywords like printer feed belt, separation pad assembly, or flex cable).

  3. If unavailable, contact HP Support directly with your printer model for part specifics.

@MyNameJeff79 it's not, actually it's pretty complicated to hook it on the left side because you don't have straight access. The metal spring on the left that you need to hook it on probably fell inside the printer.

@Valsimot: Thank you. It is actually on the right side (if you're facing the printer). Image (62).jpgImage (61).jpgImage (60).jpg
