HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer

The carriage belt on my HP Envy 4500 is loose and I can't figure out where it should attach on the right side of the printer.  Is there a diagram available on how to reattach the belt?

@Roandmoe

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Could you please share the picture of the carriage belt?
  • Did you make any changes to your printer?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps from YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPVzKUnXm_4&ab_channel=HPSupport
By the end of the video, you will be able to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello,

I don't know if the correct term is carriage belt, but I have attached a picture below.  The butter knife is showing the part that I am calling the carriage belt.

I did not make any changes to the printer.  I received a carriage jam error and viewed the HP video on You Tube to clear the jam.  When that did not work, I noticed that the belt was disconnected.  I can see where it attaches on the left side, but cannot see where it goes on the right side.
