HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer.

The paper jams in this with every second page, as well as anytime I attempt to complete a 2 sided print. This is not an issue that can be resolved by any of the steps listed in related paper jam issue questions.  Nothing suggested under troubleshooting works to correct this issue.  This appears to be a quality issue with the printer and or paper feed components. I rarely use this printer and the components are not worn, nor in poor condition.  Each use is a struggle. I am not being flippant here when I say that the amount of time I have spent trying to print is worth more than the printer. At what point can I start charging HP my hourly rate in trouble shooting this clearly flawed product?

Hi @Grundo77,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you experience constant paper jam issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, particularly when conducting two-sided printing, and none of the standard troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, consider the following guidelines:

Check Paper Type and Quality:

  • Ensure that you are using paper that meets HP's specifications. Use high-quality paper that is not too thin, does not have a slick texture, and is not too coarse.

  • Store your paper in a cool, dry place to avoid issues caused by moisture.

Examine Paper Handling Components:

  • Check the paper trays and guides for any obstructions or misalignment.

  • Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly and that the paper guides are snug against the paper without being too tight.

Inspect Rollers and Path:

  • Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth dampened with water to remove any accumulated dust or residue.

  • Inspect the feed path for any debris or small paper pieces that might obstruct paper movement.

Duplexer Check:

  • If the issue predominantly occurs during duplex printing, examine the duplexer. Confirm that it is properly installed and clean.

Firmware Updates:

  • Check if there's an available firmware update for your printer that might address persistent paper jams or other hardware issues.
