Hi @Joann6565,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Continuous paper jams can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Check for Jammed Paper: Open the printer's front and rear access doors carefully and look for any stuck paper. Gently remove any visible paper jams.
  • Inspect Paper Path: Sometimes small pieces of paper or debris can cause jams. Use a flashlight to inspect the entire paper path thoroughly.
  • Clear Paper Path: If you find any stuck paper or debris, carefully remove it. Be cautious not to tear the paper, as any remnants left inside could cause further jams.
  • Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for about 1-2 minutes. This can sometimes clear out temporary issues.
  • Check Paper Condition: Ensure that the paper being used is not curled, too thick, or too thin for your printer’s specifications. Use fresh, straight paper if possible.
  • Check Paper Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the input tray are adjusted correctly to fit the paper size you are using.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating firmware can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
  • Try Different Paper Tray: If your printer has multiple paper trays, try using a different tray to see if the issue persists.
  • Inspect Rollers: Clean the rollers inside the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. Dust and debris on rollers can also cause paper feed issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
