HP PageWide Pro 477dw Multifunction Printer

I use the HPSmart app on my ipad or print from a photo. I cannot figure out how to change the paper sizes. Printing through photos I only have the Letter option. Printing through the app offers a few more, but not the size I need. I cannot add anything in settings. Thank you for any help.

Hi @Okieqt

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To set custom paper sizes when using the HP Smart app or printing from photos on your iPad, follow these steps:

Using the HP Smart App

Open the HP Smart App:

  • Launch the app on your iPad.

Select Your Printer:

  • Ensure your printer is selected at the top of the app.

Choose the Document to Print:

  • Tap on the option to print a document or photo.

Access Print Settings:

  • Look for the Print Options or Settings icon, usually represented by a gear or an "i" icon.

Select Paper Size:

  • In the print settings, look for a Paper Size option. If custom sizes are not directly available, you may need to choose the closest available size and adjust the margins in the document itself to fit your needs.

Save Settings:

  • Once you select the desired paper size, save your settings and proceed to print.

Printing from Photos

Open the Photos App:

  • Launch the Photos app on your iPad.

Select the Photo:

  • Choose the photo you want to print.

Tap the Share Button:

  • Tap the share icon (a square with an arrow) at the bottom of the screen.

Select Print:

  • Choose the Print option from the share menu.

Change Paper Size:

  • If you only see the Letter size option, look for any additional settings. Depending on the iPad version and iOS, you might have limited options for paper sizes in the Photos app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
