I recently had an issue where I had to replace the PCA Interconnect cable. I was able to get the printer operational. Once I put everything back together and started it I got the code 86:01 paper jam. There is no paper in the machine, I've checked for debris, I've wiped down the encoder strip, and during initialization it seems the carriage is moving smoothly and freely along the axis. Anyone have any ideas or fixes? Thanks

Hello,

That 86:01 error often points to a carriage position or sensor issue rather than an actual jam. Since you’ve already checked for debris and cleaned the encoder strip, the next things to verify are that the PCA interconnect cable is fully seated and not pinched, and that the carriage encoder sensor is aligned and reading the strip correctly. A loose or damaged cable connection can cause false jam errors, so reseating or replacing that harness again is usually the fix.
