HP Officejet Pro 9015

My HP Pro 9015, is about 18 months old (out of warranty).  I was scanning a document when I got the following error message "Document Feeder Jam".  There is no paper in the document feeder.  I have cleaned the ADF per the website instructions, as well as tried to reset the printer by removing the power cord from the printer and wall for 60 seconds.  The error won't go away.  Any ideas other than buying a new printer?

Hi @cb187cb187,

I'd like to help!

I understand the printer comes with the "document feeder jam" error

Try the below suggestions -

Clean the automatic document feeder (ADF)

If your printer has an ADF, clean it regularly to help avoid paper jams and quality problems.

  1. Get a lint-free cloth and distilled water.

  2. Remove the original document from the ADF.

  3. Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord.

  4. Open the ADF cover.

  5. Find the paper pick rollers and the separator pad inside the ADF.

    Description

    1.

    Paper pick roller

    2.

    Separator pad

  6. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with filtered or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.

  7. Use the damp cloth to clean the paper pick rollers and the separator pad.

  8. Leave the ADF cover open for two minutes to allow the rollers and pad to dry.

  9. Close the ADF cover.

  10. Reconnect the power cord, and then turn on the printer.

Reset the printer

Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.

  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  3. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  4. Wait 60 seconds.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  6. Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
