HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

I was doing 2-sided printing and had a paper jam.  I tried to clear the jam.  My problem is the top section seems to be locked where you open the printer to change ink cartridges.  Any idea how I can get this open?

Remove any loose or jammed paper that is accessible in the ink cartridge access door.

  1. Open the front door, and then lift the cartridge access door.

  2. Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord.

    Warning:

📣To avoid risk of injuries or electric shock, you must disconnect the power cord before reaching inside the printer.
