Hi, my printer keeps on showing E4 error even after the basic troubleshooting I’ve done from the virtual support. Is there any other way and if not, may I ask for the nearest service center around me?

Hi @vee53 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The E4 error on an HP printer, such as the Smart Tank 515, typically indicates a paper jam or a carriage stall. Here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams. Make sure to remove any paper that might be stuck in the printer.

Check the Carriage: Ensure that the carriage, which holds the ink cartridges, can move freely. If it's obstructed, gently move it to the center and remove any obstacles.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 1-2 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear errors.

Reset the Printer: Some printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Check your printer's manual to see if there's a reset option and try using it.

Update Firmware/Software: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware or software updates. Sometimes, these updates include bug fixes that can resolve common issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
