Hello Knis,

Thank you for posting your concern,

Tips for Re-inserting the Duplexer Cover on HP Envy 4520

If you have removed the duplexer cover on your HP Envy 4520 to clear a paper jam and are having difficulty re-inserting it, here are a few tips that might help:

  1. Align Properly: Ensure that the duplexer cover is aligned correctly with the slots or guides where it needs to be inserted. Often, misalignment is the primary reason for difficulty in re-insertion.

  2. user guide : http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04778353.pdf
  3. Check for Obstacles: Make sure that there are no obstructions in the path where the duplexer cover is supposed to fit. Small pieces of paper or debris may prevent proper insertion.

  4. Use Gentle Pressure: Apply gentle but firm pressure when inserting the cover. If you encounter resistance, avoid forcing it, as this may cause damage. Instead, check the alignment and try again.

  5. Inspect for Damage: Examine the duplexer cover for any signs of damage or wear that might prevent it from fitting correctly. If it is damaged, you might need to replace it.

  6. Consult the User Manual: If you're able, refer to the printer's user manual for specific instructions on how to reinsert the duplexer cover. This can sometimes provide model-specific guidance that is helpful.
