HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer
iOS

I have a brand new HP DeskJet 2755e printer and it won’t let me print from it. I have tried EVERYTHING. I bought two different kinds of paper (I even purchased the specific HP paper suggested for this printer), I have reset it, I have checked every possible crevice for a paper jam, I made sure it’s plugged into a wall outlet and not a power strip, but nothing works. It won’t even print a test page. I think this must be a sensor issue and I need to return the printer. I have a 12-month warranty but can someone please confirm or does anyone know what’s wrong?? I’m extremely frustrated and desperate for help.

Hi @311ieHlt441682,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a paper jam (E4) issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • When was the last time you were able to print fine?
  • What is the current version of iOS running on your device?
  • Are you able to make a copy fine?
  • Was there any recent update on the unit?

Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware and iOS Version

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
  • Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
  • Update software on iOS

If the issue persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in this document: HP DeskJet 2700, 4100, 4800 Printers - 'E4' Error Displays (Paper Jam)

If the issue still persists, I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
