This error code popped up and I cannot access the screen.  I was printing multiple copies of a large scale print and partway through it said it could not detect the paper.

Hi @KarenGSLD,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't find any specific information regarding the error code B8377158 for the HP DesignJet T120 printer. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Power Reset.

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord for at least 2 minutes.
  • Plug back in and restart.

Paper Path.

  • Remove all paper from the tray and roll feed.
  • Inspect for jams or misfeeds even small scraps can trigger “cannot detect paper.”
  • Reload paper carefully and ensure sensors are clean.

Firmware Update.

  • Connect the printer via USB or Ethernet.
  • Download the latest firmware for the T120 from HP’s support site.
  • Run the update to refresh the controller software.

Factory Reset.

  • If the screen is accessible after reboot, go to: Setup - Printer Maintenance - Restore Factory Defaults.
  • This clears corrupted settings that may block paper detection.

Printer Driver Settings.

  • Ensure that the settings in the printer driver match the type and size of paper you are using.

Take care and have an amazing day!
