@GARYKLEIN1, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Model ENV.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

If you're encountering a paper jam error on your HP printer but cannot find any physical jam, and the printer is not pulling paper into the rollers, here are some possible solutions:

  1. Double-Check Obstructions:

    • Even small scraps of paper can cause error messages. Thoroughly inspect the printer with a flashlight to ensure there are no hidden pieces of paper.
  2. Re-inspect the Rollers:

    • Although you've cleaned them, ensure the rollers are installed correctly and check for any loose or improperly seated rollers.
  3. Paper Tray and Guides:

    • Make sure the paper tray is correctly loaded, with sheets aligned properly. The paper guides should be snug against the paper stack without bending it.
  4. Manual Paper Feed:

    • If your printer has a manual feed option, try feeding a page manually to see if it progresses. This can sometimes reset the sensors.
  5. Carriage Path:

    • Ensure the carriage path is clear and that the carriage moves freely. Often, misalignment or obstructions in the carriage path can trigger errors.
  6. Clean Sensor and Encoder Strip:

    • Depending on your printer model, the encoder strip may get dirty. It's a clear plastic strip with fine lines that runs across the carriage path. Clean it gently with a lint-free cloth if accessible.
  7. Test with Different Paper:

    • Occasionally, the type or quality of paper can affect feeding. Try using different paper that meets the printer's specifications.
  8. Inspect for Hardware Issues:

    • Check for any broken pieces or components that might interfere with paper feeding or sensor operation.
  9. Firmware Update:

    • Ensure your printer's firmware is updated to the latest version, as updates can fix bugs that cause erroneous error messages.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
