HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a three year old HP Envy 7645 printer. Recently I attempted to print a document on card stock and the printer jammed. I removed the jam completely. Nothing was left in the printer. However now I get an error message that says "The Print carriage cannot move. Open the ink cartridge access door, clear any paper jam obstruction and select OK".

That does not work. I just keep getting the same error message. The print carriage moves freely by hand and there is no visible obstruction. I have tried unplugging and restarting the printer, but that does not work either. I still get the same error message. I have examined the printer thoroughly using a powerful flash light and there is NO obstruction that I can see. I have the latest firmware installed. The carriage moves completely from side to side freely by hand. I hate to throw an expensive printer in the trash for a silly non-problem, but if it doesn't work it's of no value. Has anyone else experienced this issue with an Envy 7645?
