Product: M653
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Brand new M653 will not print.  Jams every time at the fuser.  Literally, unboxed it 30 minutes ago and it will not print!


Any ideas on how to fix it?

Are you using normal plain paper?

Check did you removed all shipping locks and orange tapes. Where does the leading edge of the sheet stop when it jams?

We’re using recycled plain paper but have also tried plain and heavier stock.  We removed all of the shipping locks and tape that we can see.  

The leading edge gets past the fuser and stops

I opened a ticket with HO Support yesterday afternoon.  They’re sending me a new fuser to see if that will fix it.  If that doesn’t work, we’re left with two options, return or repair.  Hopefully the new fuser will be here in the next couple of days.

The new fuser arrived.   The same behavior was observed with it.  Will contact support about repair.
